Yes! Golf Signs Luiten

Yes! Golf Europe EU has come to a sponsorship agreement with Dutch European Tour rising star Joost Luiten

Luiten had already been carrying the Yes Putter in his bag for a year and a half, and it was a 'meeting if minds' as much as anything else that led to a more formal arrangement.

To Joost the choice for Yes! Was not a very complicated one. "Yes makes very good putters. I have been playing with the putters for years. They look nice and they have a good feel. I feel comfortable playing them and they boost my confidence".

For a professional golfer, putting is increasingly seen as a crucial factor in a player's overall performance and prize-earning potential. Joost, having already achieved success with the Yes! Putter and the Yes! putting methodology can now benefit from the newly opened Yes! Putting Studio and Custom-fitting Centre in Eindhoven.

Luiten couldn't be happier about the Eindhoven Centre.

"It's an excellent add-on to the sponsor package. It has all the facilities needed for me to check the consistency of my stroke. I no longer need to go abroad to do the check-ups but I can just hop in the car and go there whenever needed."

One of the most exciting talents to have emerged from The Netherlands, Luiten started golf as a nine year old when his uncle took him to a driving range in downtown Rotterdam. He made a stunning impact in his rookie professional season with two victories on the Challenge Tour in his first six events, both achieved with superb final rounds. He also took second place at The European Tour's KLM Open in his homeland.

He first tasted victory in the A.G.F. Allianz Golf Open de Toulouse with a final round of 64 and then further underlined his credentials by winning the Vodafone Challenge with a final round of 61, the lowest final round by a winner in Challenge Tour history.

Having won the 2005 German and Spanish Amateur Open titles as well as the Dutch National Open, he went on to inspire The Netherlands to a surprise victory at the Eisenhower Trophy, playing his last five holes in six under par. He turned professional at the end of 2006, finishing the 2007 Challenge Tour season in fifth place on the Rankings.

The Studio boasts some of the most powerful, state-of-the-art putting analysis systems in the world, as well as a full range of Yes! Putters and customizing engineering facilities in the region, and will have a full-time staff complement headed up by Yes! Golf Europe's Tour rep Bart van der Wind.

Van der Windis very pleased with the agreement. "We are already working with promising young players like Robin Swane, Taco Remkes and other Dutch and foreign professionals. Joost coming here to do his checks is great.

"And of course it's not just attracting the interest of professional players. Every player who seriously wants to better his game is welcome. We will be working to improve players of all levels".
