The period of time around the British Open at Birkdale sees Yes! Golf flying in technicians from its regional offices around the world to work out of its putting studio in Southport, just five minutes away from Royal Birkdale itself.
The Yes! Golf tour van will be based at the Open venue, and with Tour pros planning to make a beeline for the mobile workshop, it has opened up several free spaces in the diary for the main facility at Banastre Road itself.
"A few local club professionals were having a good laugh about it because they say it's probably the only place within a hundred mile radius of Birkdale where you can get a reservation for anything between about the 15th and 21st July," says Yes! Golf MD Peter Allison. "And that's only because we've effectively doubled our staffing levels to increase capacity."
It's fair to say that every putting aid in the world worth its salt is at the Yes! Golf main putting studio. From the high-end SAM software and digital imaging apparatus to the lowliest low-tech alignment gadget… if it works it's there. If a Tour player's ever used one… it's there.
And on top of that, the full range of Yes! Golf putters now numbers just under 50 models, including left and right hand variants, blades, mallets, sight-alignment, face balanced, toe-heavy, belly & long shaft and even a ladies' range… they are all there.
As if that weren't enough, a fully-equipped workshop is permanently manned on site to adjust putters to the nth degree for loft, lie, shaft length and weighting.
