The latest European Tour champ – who won so convincingly at Crans Sur Sierre in Switzerland – is the third player in as many weeks to have placed his trust in Esoteric putting aids to help strengthen his craft around the greens. Alex Noren’s fellow Swede Peter Hedblom in Gleneagles the previous week and English and Simon Dyson at The KLM Open in the Netherlands before that… all currently keep Sweden’s most successful training aids close by on Tour.
Celebrating his maiden Tour victory Alex Norén has been “a promising youth” for some time know. The 27 year-old Swede has been using the Path Finder and the Absolute Reader since 2006.
Peter Hedblom, meanwhile, celebrated his 3rd Tour victory at the Johnnie Walker Championship (after finishing a close second in The Netherlands the week prior. The man from the Baltic port of Gävle has told the Esoteric team that the Absolute Reader always helps him hit putts straight.
Simon Dyson is a relative newcomer to the Swedish Wunderkids at Esoteric, having only picked up his Path Finder at the SAS Masters in Malmö last July. On that occasion, Dyson finished 51 in the Putts per GIR stats. The intervening months’ work on his putting had him placed 18th in the Putts per GIR table for the KLM Open. (Interestingly, Peter Hedblom finished #2 in the Putts per GIR stats at the same event)
The three winning purses add up to over €900,000.
Since their debut at the PGA Show in Orlando in 2006, Esoteric Golf Technology from Gothenburg have won huge respect for their design and engineering from a wide range of PGA players, coaches and club golfers everywhere.
The Esoteric product offering ranges in complexity from the pleasingly simple Absolute Reader (a simple aluminium channel) to the fiendish Putting Guide – likely one of the world’s most precise putter custom-fitting aids.
In the British Isles and continental Europe, Esoteric’s distribution partners are Yes! Golf, and this by itself is an indication of how seriously serious golfers take these products. Yes! Golf has forged several partnerships with putting aid engineers in recent years, but only the best need apply...
Every product wanting the Yes! seal of approval has to be minutely examined by Harold Swash – C-Groove inventor and indisputable doyen of grooved putter technology all over the world – and this is no easy test.
Further peer endorsement has come in the form of Esoteric being appointed official suppliers of putter training aids to the national team of Austria and the PGA of Sweden.
